(SIOUX CITY, IA) People from across Siouxland put themselves in the shoes of the homeless Friday. The 9th annual Siouxland Sleep Out was at Lewis and Clark Park.
Folks were out there for a great cause, to raise awareness about a nationwide problem - Homelessness.
It's also a problem right here in Sioux City which is why 9 years ago a couple of people got together and spent the night and kicked off the first ever Siouxland Sleep out. It's been growing in popularity ever since.
Music filled the air, soup was passed around for any one who was hungry and there was even a contest for the best shelter. And of course People braved the elements all to raise money and awareness to combat homelessness.
Thank you to everyone who came out and supported this great cause! We'll see you next year!
