St. Patrick's Day is about celebrating heritage and tradition of the Irish, and one Siouxland restaurant has kept that tradition alive for nearly three decades.
This is the 27th year Beano and Sherry's Casinos in North Sioux City has observed the big day by serving corned beef and cabbage, mulligan stew, Irish drinks, and have an all round good time.
Owner Sherry LeFleur started the tradition as a way to celebrate her Irish heritage with everyone in the area, and especially with her mother.
"It is a tradition," said Marilyn Farrer. "My husband was part-Irish so we always had to come out here. And this is my daughter so I have to come out for the Mulligan stew and corned beef and cabbage."
The festivities continued Monday evening with an Irish sing-along from dinnertime until closing.
