      Big Sioux River Rising Again

      After heavy rains, the Big Sioux River is rising again.

      According to the National Weather Service, the river near Akron, Iowa reached 16.89 feet this afternoon, and is expected to rise to 18.1 feet by Thursday, reaching "moderate" flood stage.

      Nearby fields have standing water, major roads, like Highway 48 are above the water level.

      After Thursday, levels are expected to recede again.
