Cause of Last Year's Norfolk Plane Crash Revealed

Nearly a year after a deadly plane crash in Norfolk, a report points towards pilot error for the cause. Dale Butler of Omaha and his passenger Amy Brobst, of Fort Collins, Colorado, died after the plane crashed into a soybean field just two miles east of the Norfolk airport on April 27th of last year. According to a report by the National Transportation Safety Board, all mechanical problems were ruled out. They say the cause was the pilot's decision to fly at a low altitude and his subsequent failure to see and avoid power lines. The report said the pilot might have focused on a set of high tension power lines about a half-mile from the crash site, and did not see the lower power lines.
