SIOUX COUNTY, IA — Kids don't need to worry about where they're going to get their school supplies, they need to focus on doing their best in school so they have a bright future. That's the sentiment shared by Siouxland News and our sponsors of the 10th annual Pack the Bus campaign. Last week our great community came out in droves to help us pack this school bus at local Hy-Vee locations. We used those generous cash donations to buy large and more expensive items like backpacks. And we had a great time meeting all of you and filling up these red barrels. We also collected $2,000 worth of supplies donated by four Hy-Vee stores. "Hyvee partnered with Siouxland News because we believe a strong education is the backbone of our future," said Hy-Vee Store Manager Chad Vodrak. Now, all these supplies are headed to local school districts to help the students at our local schools. And it's all made possible because of your support.
