SIOUX CITY, IA — If you have a kid who wants to learn how to swim, for free, you'd better head to Cook Pool in Sioux City this summer. Cook Pool got a grant for Community Development. That's why the pool will be able to give these lessons for free. They'll be from June 16th thru the 27th for any child from 5 to 14 years old. There'll be two different time slots for those lessons. If you want to sign your kids up, there are a few restrictions. First, you have to live in the 51103 zip code. "There's a limit of three children per household, you must sign up at the parks and rec office, and you have to bring some type of form that shows that you live in that zip code," said Recreation Supervisor, Eric Griffith The grant also lets the pool stay open longer. You can check out pool hours and special events on the city's parks and recreation website.
