SIOUX CITY, IA — 23-year-old Jamal Dean and his 25-year-old brother Levon were both convicted Friday afternoon in Federal Court in Sioux City of multiple felonies.The Dean brothers were charged with two counts of robbery, carjacking, being felons in possession of a firearm and other charges.They were accused of two robberies, both of drug dealers. One at the Palmer House Motel in Sioux City, and the other in his Sioux City home.Levon Dean previously had state charges in this case dismissed.Jamal Dean is currently serving a 25-year prison sentence in Iowa after pleading guilty to attempted murder for shooting Sioux City Police Officer Kevin McCormick in the head during a traffic stop last year.
