Flood-Damaged Plymouth Co. Bridge Needs Costly Replacement
REMSEN, IA —
A flood-damaged bridge near Remsen is giving county supervisors thousands of reasons to be worried.
What was estimated to be a $50,000 repair job to fix the 110th street bridge over Willow Creek is now a $400,000 replacement bill.
High water in the Creek from Memorial Day flooding damaged connections to the banks on both sides of the bridge, then last week the bridge collapsed into the water.
There is a chance the cost could be taken care of by federal relief money.
