SIOUX CITY, IA — Downtown Sioux City is getting a new landmark this week. Workers spent this afternoon putting together the iconic Hard Rock guitar sign that will soon sit atop the new Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. The famous sign was originally supposed to be placed on top of the Battery Building's clock tower, but was ultimately determined to be too heavy. Workers doing the assembly say the sign will be installed on the building Thursday morning. The new placement will still be visible from I-29, inviting drivers to exit and play at the new casino.
