Iowa Governor Branstad Requests More Federal Disaster Relief Funds
WOODBURY COUNTY, IA — Iowa Governor Terry Branstad is seeking more relief for people with property damaged by last month's flooding. The governor's office announced a request for a Presidential Disaster Declaration for 26 Iowa counties affected by storms and flooding last month.The request includes Buena Vista, Cherokee, Clay, Dickinson, Emmet, Ida, Lyon, Plymouth, Sac, Sioux and Woodbury Counties in Northwest Iowa.If the request is accepted, federal disaster relief funds will be available to people with damage caused by the storms and flooding.
