Missing that one special ingredient for the Thanksgiving meal?Well, you're not alone. Wednesday night, last minute shoppers headed down the aisles to pick up a few things before they make their way to the kitchen tomorrow.
Grocery stores like Fareway and Hy-Vee were open for business and flooded with a final rush of customers looking for the perfect pie or an extra box of stuffing.
Hy-Vee will be open Thursday and will have turkeys in stock and holiday specials ready to go. "You know, when Thanksgiving week comes around we're very excited. You don't get nervous you get pumped up. It's just exciting to have this many people in the store. You know this is when we have the most fun," said Manager Chad Vodrak of the Hamilton Hy-Vee. All Hy-Vees will be open 24 hours tomorrow.
And if you're looking to warm up before your Black Friday shopping, the Starbucks at the Hamilton Hy-Vee will open tomorrow at midnight.
