SIOUX CITY, IA — A Sioux City Junior College is stepping up its competition. Little Priest Tribal College, based out of the Ho Chunk Centre in downtown Sioux City, is starting an athletics program. Nicknamed the Warriors, teams from the school will compete in both girls' and boys' basketball and girls' and boys' track to start, with plans to add volleyball, softball and baseball teams. "We will continue improve our athletic program by adding sports that are interested to the community and to the students," said College President Johnny D. Jones. The Warriors will be a part of the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference, and compete in the National Junior College Athletic Association Region 11.
