SIOUX CITY, IA — UPDATE: Steven Hough, 60, of Sgt. Bluff has died due to injuries he sustained in an accident on I-29 early Wednesday morning. Authorities reported that Hough had passed away on Saturday. On July 30th Hough swerved his motorcycle to avoid hitting traffic that had slowed down at a construction zone causing him to crash the cycle. Medics arrived on scene and transported him to Mercy Medical Center for serious injuries. Bluff was taken to Mercy Medical Center yesterday with serious injuries. His condition is not being released by medical staff today. An early morning crash sent one man to the hospital with critical injuries. Police say a 60 year old man crashed his motorcycle onto the pavement on I-29 Northbound at exit 144B, near the Highway 20 bridge at around 7:45 a.m. Wednesday morning. The man swerved his cycle to avoid hitting traffic that had slowed down at a construction zone. Medics arrived on scene and transported the man to Mercy Medical Center with critical injuries. No other vehicles were involved in the accident and the rider was wearing his helmet. The man's name has not been released.
