Norfolk Man Cause of Death Released
NORFOLK, NE — Authorities in Norfolk have released the cause of death for a man pulled out of the North Fork of the Elkhorn River last month. The Madison County Coroner's Office has ruled that 52-year-old Jeffrey Planer of Norfolk died of asphyxia by drowning. The coroner is still waiting for results of toxicology tests before announcing the manner of death, those results could take another two to four weeks.
Planer's body was discovered in the river on the morning of June 20th. Anybody with information that could help the investigation should call Norfolk Police at 402-644-8700.
