SIOUX CITY, IA — A Sioux City Police officer has been charged with drunk driving after allegedly causing a multi-car accident last month. 47 year old Tyler Hartwell entered a written plea of not guilty to a charge of Operating a Motor Vehicle While Intoxicated. Prosecutors say that on July 11th, Hartwell crashed into a parked car and started a chain reaction that damaged four parked vehicles. A blood test showed Hartwell's blood alcohol level was three times the legal limit at the time of the crash. He has a pre-trial conference set for October 10th.
