Presidential Disaster Declaration Approved for Siouxland
SIOUX CITY, IA — Good news for Siouxlanders affected by June's storms and flooding. Iowa Governor Terry Branstad says the Federal government has issued a Presidential disaster declaration for 26 northwest Iowa counties affected by storms and flooding between June 14th and the 23rd. Buena Vista, Cherokee, Clay, Dickinson, Emmet, Ida, Lyon, Osceola, Palo Alto, Plymouth, Pocahontas, Sac, Sioux, and Woodbury Counties are included in the declaration, and will now be eligible for federal disaster aid.
