Puppet Show Introduces South Sioux City Kids to Science
SOUTH SIOUX CITY, NE — South Sioux City kids got a chance to explore science this morning... with a little help. The South Sioux City public library welcomed the Jester Puppets to their Summer Reading Program this morning. The puppets were part of a program called Weird Science, a show written specifically for Summer Reading Programs that involves the puppets meeting up with Albert Einstein to inspire future scientists. Children's librarian Odessa Cooley says, "they are encouraged to use their imagination that they are able to explore different techniques and different skills that they might not realize that they have potentially hiding underneath, and just to open up and use their imaginations more than what they normally might." In addition to Albert Einstein, the puppet show also introduced kids to Dr. Frankenstein.
