South Dakota's senior U.S. Senator, Tim Johnson, was in his hometown of Vermillion today.
He toured the University of South Dakota's Beacom School of Business.
Before the tour began, we asked the senator about last year's flood, and if he feels the Army Corps of Engineers' statement released earlier this year is sufficient enough.
"I think we have made a lot of progress since last year, and the corp for the most part has done pretty well, but I think it could always do better," he said.
Johnson says he plans to work closely with the Corps in the future, to hopefully prevent flooding like we saw last year.
