CORRECTIONVILLE, IA — A shooting range in northwest Iowa has closed because it's been "shot up." The M.L. "Stub" Gray shooting range at Little Sioux Park has been closed by the Woodbury County Conservation Board. Board members and staff say that the range has been completely trashed by people who have no regard for the rules or public's safety. They say every sign and structure at the range has been shot up, and illegal targets have also been used. The board plans to hold public meetings on the issue in Correctionville and Sioux City in an effort to find solutions. It is hoped that the range can be reopened by later this summer.
