Sioux City Officials Revise Pit Bull Ban
SIOUX CITY, IA —
A hot button issue is back in front of the SIoux City City Council.
Sioux City officials have voted to allow animal rescue groupsto hold pit bulls in city limits for up to 90 days while they look forpotential new homes for the animals.
The amendment to the City's current ordinance gives the City Manager the option to approve orrevoke those groups on a case-by-case basis.
Up to this point, the Siouxland Humane Society was the onlygroup with an exemption under the ban.
