The 18th Annual "Race For Hope" Set To Take Place In September
McCOOK LAKE, SD — Get ready to run in the battle to fight cancer! The 18th annual "Race for Hope" will take place in September. One of this year's new Ambassadors says the run is a great way to help fight a disease that affects everyone. "You look at the number of people out there, you'd be tough to find anybody that hasn't been touched by cancer somewhere along the way, either their own family, some of their friends, people they've worked with, anyone. Sad to say, there's very few of us that can get by through life without having somebody that's touched by cancer," said 2014 Race Ambassador, Mike Shea. So far the race raised more than 300 thousand dollars for the June E. Nylen Cancer Center. This year's race is September 20th at the Adams Nature Preserve in McCook Lake.
