SIOUXLAND — This weekend's rain has been causing problems across the region. The recently dedicated Freedom Park memorial to Siouxland's Vietnam Veteran's in South Sioux City was overflowing with water Monday morning after the weekend's heavy rain. The leftover water has come within feet of reaching the miniature replica of the Vietnam Memorial War that's located in Washington, D.C. At this point, we don't know of any damage that was caused to the memorial or the park.Photos taken near Bronson, Iowa show pools of standing water in backyards and ditches, in one case, a driveway is flooded, keeping a homeowner from reaching the road.Farmers are affected by this extra water as well... with some of this year's new crop under water in many places across Northwest Iowa.
