1,000 Degrees Neapolitan Pizzeria is now open for business
Sioux City, IA —
Sioux City's newest pizza place is now open.
1,000 Degrees Neapolitan Pizzeria opened at 11 a.m. Thursday morning in the Gateway Mall on Hamilton Boulevard.
The store is operated by former employees of Bev's on the River who say this is the first of three planned restaurants.
"We are opening up here first then we are going to Omaha then we are going to Sioux Falls the reassess after that. We actually toured the factory where the oven is made. It's made in Maryland but they do import the brick and the sand from Italy and hand craft each oven," said owner, Jesse Miller.
As part of today's opening the store was giving away a year's worth of free pizza to the first ten customers prompting some people to camp out as early as last night.
"Free pizza for a year and we heard it was pretty good actually so you know we wanted to give it a try. Shoutout 1000 degrees pizza," said customer East Mantran.
If you weren't one of the first ten people the store is still giving free pizza to its customers until closing time at 9 p.m or when it runs out of supplies, whichever happens first.
