A local business held a training seminar to teach about what to during a mass shooting
A local business is taking steps to teach its employees what to do during a mass shooting.
Innovative Business Consultants downtown held a seminar on that topic today... focusing on how to survive if a shooting does occur by teaching first aid and other survival tactics.
IBC Risk Manager, Aaron Iacino had this to say about the seminar, "well, unfortunately, you know the world we're in today. These active killing events are becoming more and more prevalent, and they're hitting a more variety of places and you know they have the potential to happen anywhere, anytime. I just hope everyone gets some type of training like this so if god forbid they ever find themselves in a situation that they can survive, because the number one message is you can survive. You do not have to die. It's not an automatic death if some one came to the premises with a gun. You can survive if you have a will to survive and some training."
The two hour seminar included employees of IBC and some of their clients.
