After 31 years at Morningside College, Gene Ambroson is retiring

He started his professional career here at KMEG-14 in the fall of 1967, answering telephones!

Now, after 31 years at Morningside College, Gene Ambroson is retiring.

Ambroson, seen here in this photo of the KMEG news team from the 1970's, later went on to KTIV, then entered the corporate world to do public relations work at the IBP meat packing company, which later became Tyson.

He joined Morningside in 1986 as director of public affairs and most recently has served as the college's director of alumni relations.

""It's really been a great thing for me personally. It has allowed me to grow in so many ways that I never thought that I'd be able to do," said Ambroson.

A retirement party for Gene is being held tomorrow afternoon at 3:00 at Bob Roe's Point After on Transit Avenue.

Best of luck Gene!
