Alan Faith named Iowa Hospital Hero
SIOUX CITY, IA —
A Siouxland man was named an "Iowa Hero" Friday morning at Unity Point Health-Saint Luke's hospital.
Alan Faith, a registered nurse at Unity Point, is one of only 12 Iowa Heroes and the only one in northwest Iowa. The Iowa Hospital Heroes are chosen each year by the Iowa Hospital Association. Faith's colleagues and family surprised him today with the announcement.
He says, “It's an honor, I mean a lot of the work we do we don't expect recognition by any means. you know more importantly to be recognized by my peers for the work that I do. It's a great honor."
The Hospital Heroes program has celebrated more than 100 employees who have contributed courageously and selflessly to Iowa hospitals and their communities since 2007.
