Iowa man serving sentence for abuse now facing charges for impregnating 12-year-old
SIOUX CITY, Ia —
A Sioux City man serving 10 years in prison for lascivious acts with a child is facing new charges in that case, after authorities learned he got a 12-year-old girl pregnant.
James Hall is now charged with three counts of 3rd degree sexual abuse and one count of neglect of a dependent person.
Court documents claim the abuse occurred between February 1st and March 20th of 2017 and resulted in the girl's pregnancy.
A DNA test done after the birth of the child at the Iowa State Crime Lab in Ankeny reportedly matched Hall, with an expert ruling there is a 99.9998% chance he's the child's father.
Hall is currently serving his sentence at a prison in Newton, Iowa for abusing a 10-year-old boy, but is seeking a transfer back to the Woodbury County Jail to face these new charges.
