Iowa State and Western Iowa Tech announce new partnership
Students looking to earn a degree in Design from Iowa State University can now do more of their required coursework here in Sioux City.
That's part of a new partnership between ISU and Western Iowa Tech Community College.
It lets Siouxland students take first-year design classes at ISU's "Design West" facility in Sioux City while taking general education classes at WIT.
"The ability to give our specialized curriculum in this building along with the social sciences, humanities, math and physics so that students can take a one year program, a freshman program here and then apply to our professional program and graduate in the same amount of time as someone who goes to Iowa State University as a freshman and applies to the program," said ISU Associate Dean Cameron Campbell.
The new courses will be offered in Sioux City starting this Fall.
