Man charged with domestic abuse and holding victim against her will
A Sioux City man is facing charges of Domestic Abuse Assault, and False Imprisonment, after reportedly hitting his girlfriend with a blunt object and preventing her from leaving their home.
42- year- old Richard Snoozy was arrested Friday night after his girlfriend escaped their house on Bluff Street.
According to court documents, she claims he hit her with a lighter and a paperweight in a sock before ordering her to leave, then dragging her back inside the house and refusing to let her leave.
Snoozy has 5 previous convictions for domestic abuse assault dating back to December of 2004.
The most recent domestic abuse conviction was in February of this year.
He's being held in the Woodbury County Jail on $10,000 dollars bond.
