Mary's Choice celebrates closing of Sioux City Planned Parenthood
Mary's Choice in Sioux City held a celebration to bid farewell to its Planned Parenthood neighbor.
More than 100 people gathered outside of the non-profit, anti- abortion organization.
Community leaders and pro-life supporters joined in prayer and dinner as Sioux City's Planned Parenthood clinic shut its doors for the last time this evening.
"We're very excited for Planned Parenthood to be closing especially. They do abortions here in Sioux City and we pray that those that were employed there get jobs in other fields and go on to have nice careers," said director Sherill Glassmaker.
Later this evening, a small group of pro- choice advocates gathered outside Graceland Cemetery on South Lakeport, holding signs demonstrating support for abortion.
