Victim identified in Norfolk stabbing death
NORFOLK, Ne —
The homicide victim has been identified as 39 year old Yosvanis Velazquez Gomez of Norfolk.
He has been charged with first degree murder and use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony.
Police sat the weapon used in the murder has been recovered.
The autopsy confirmed that Velazquez Gomez died of stab wounds.
When completed, the investigative reports will be forwarded to Madison County Attorney Joe Smith.
Police in Norfolk are investigating a stabbing that has left one man dead.
The Norfolk Daily News first reported this stabbing incident at the Liberty Apartments on Syracuse Avenue just after 5:00 this evening.
The Norfolk Police Department tells Siouxland News at this hour that they've arrested 48-year-old Rodolfo Morejon of Norfolk and charged him with first degree murder.
The victim's name is not being announced at this time, but an autopsy is scheduled for tomorrow morning.
