UPDATE: Suspect identified and charged in Friday night assault in Hubbard, NE


JULY 15, 2017: One man is now in custody after a disturbance and pursuit that started at Lux Trucking last night.

The Dakota County Sheriff's Office were called to a discturbance at the Hubbard, Nebraska company just before 5:00 Friday night in reference to a disturbance between the business owner and two unknown males.

The two males left the area in a tan 2001 Dodge Durango before officers arrived.

The vehicle was located traveling north on M Avenue near Kramper Lake and a pursuit began when deputies attempted to stop the vehicle.

The pursuit ended about 8 miles later.

The driver was arrested and told authorities no one else was involved.

The suspect, 61-year-old Ronald Soulek from Sioux Falls, South Dakota, has been charged with flight to avoid arrest, willful reckless driving, DUI, speeding, and multiple other charges.

The Dakota County Sheriff's Office was assisted by the Nebraska State Patrol.

JULY 14, 2017: Tonight police are still searching for one of two people involved in an altercation this afternoon in Hubbard, Nebraska. An incident that turned into a police chase.

Shortly before 5:00 Friday evening, Dakota County sheriff's deputies were dispatched to Lux Trucking on 230th Street.

When they got there, they were initially told one person ran away from the business and another took off in a 2001 Tan Dodge Durango and led deputies into a police chase.

That pursuit stretched about eight miles until the driver was caught.

He has been taken into custody and charges are pending.

As of now, he is the only person whose been arrested. There's no word on the status of the search for the man who ran away.

The sheriff's office tells us at this hour, their investigation is ongoing.
