Rainy weather doesn't stop Siouxlanders from celebrating "Bike To Work" day
SIOUX CITY, Ia —
Despite the messy conditions today, a Sioux City cycling shop offered enticement for people to bike to work today.
Albrechts' Cycle Shop downtown offered a free breakfast to everyone taking their bikes to work on this rainy Friday morning.
The store's manager says the bad weather wasn't scaring off any cyclists.
"Despite the rain, we saw immediately when we started breakfast we had three people come in on their bicycles and we have had eight so far which is a really good start here for Sioux city," said owner Korey Smith.
Bike to Work Day is an annual event in Sioux City aimed at reducing pollution from cars.
Participants in this year's event also got entered into a raffle to win a new bike from Albrecht's.
