Seaboard Triumph Foods donates pork to Irma Relief
SIOUX CITY, Ia —
Sioux City's new pork plant is also contributing to hurricane relief efforts.
Seaboard Triumph Foods says it's donating a trailer full of pork from its first week of operations to "Operation Barbeque Relief."
That program mobilizes barbeque chefs to disaster areas to provide barbeque meals to victims and volunteers.
It recently completed an 11- day stint in Texas in relief of Hurricane Harvey, where it served more than 370,000 meals.
Seaboard Triumph's donation will go to the group's Hurricane Irma relief efforts and provide enough food for more than 100,000 meals alone.
