Sergeant Bluff woman pleads guilty to making false statements, filing false reports
A Sergeant Bluff woman has pled guilty in federal court today after making false statements regarding a highway project.
31-year-old Jenna Wilson was convicted of one count of making false statements.
According to a press release, Wilson, while working for K&L Inc., knowingly filed false Expanded Polystyrene Fill (EPS) invoices to the Iowa Department of Transportation in connection with the construction of the I-29 Sioux Interchange Project.
In total, Wilson increased the amounts of the invoices by more than $807,000.
Wilson faces a maximum sentence of 5 years in prison, a $250,000 fine and up to three years of supervised release.
Sentencing will be set at a later date.
