South Sioux City man accused of stealing car and crashing into Sioux City Police cruiser
SIOUX CITY, Ia —
A South Sioux City man is facing charges of stealing a car and hitting a Sioux City Police car.
30- year- old Gabriel Freemont is charged with 2nd degree theft and aggravated assault among a long list of charges.
According to court documents, just before 1:00 this (Thursday) morning, officers spotted Freemont getting into a car with non- matching plates.
Two officers approached him on foot, while a third parked his car in front of the car, which was later found to have been stolen from Nebraska.
While trying to drive off, Freemont allegedly hit the police car and was taken into custody.
He's being held in the Woodbury County Jail on $50,000 dollars bond.
