Two rehabilitation projects lead to multiple road closures in Sioux City

Multiple road work and repair projects are scheduled to get under way this week around Sioux City.

The annual manhole rehabilitation project will begin Monday as crews make repairs to sanitary sewer manholes throughout Sioux City.

Those repairs are scheduled to be completed by the end of October.

This project will rehabilitate sanitary sewer manholes at West 8th Street and Hamilton Boulevard, the 100-200 Block of Virginia Street, and along Floyd Boulevard at the intersections of 7th Street, Cleveland Street, Arthur Street, and Garfield Street.

The annual utility lining project is also beginning in Sioux City.

The project will rehabilitate sewers throughout the city and will include the closing of a few streets.

Repairs are scheduled to get underway tomorrow and run through the end of November.

This project will rehabilitate sewers on Euclid Avenue east of South Alice Street, South Cornelia Street, Laurel Avenue, South Paxton Street, and Davis Avenue.

This project will include intermittent lane closures and parking restrictions, but does not involve major excavation.
