Connect With Cat Taylor

Cat Taylor is the Morning Meteorologist for Siouxland News at Sunrise and is very excited to join the Siouxland News team! She is an Atmospheric Science graduate from the University of Kansas.

Her passion for meteorology comes from her experience with the F5 Andover, Kansas tornado in 1991. Since age three, Cat has been hooked on meteorology and passionate about saving lives from destructive weather phenomena.

Her hobbies include storm chasing, pageants, and playing the flute. Cat was 1st Runner Up to Miss Kansas in 2011 where she won the Lifestyle in Fitness and Talent Awards. She also represented the United States at the World Miss University competition in South Korea where she won 4th Runner Up and the Public Service Award.

Cat loves to volunteer and advocate for charitable organizations including: Habitat for Humanity, Children's Miracle Network, Lupus Foundation of America, and Weather Ready Nation. As a native Kansan, she is very excited to live in a similar state with very friendly people!
