Did you know you could attend an authentic tea party or view 500 million stars at one time, right here in Siouxland?

Those are just two of 100 things to do in Sioux City and Siouxland, all part of a new book by local writer Lindsay Hindman, who is the creator and writer of Siouxland Families Blog. From food and drinks to parks and historic sights Hindman's book is full of local stops and shops for all ages.

"It was so hard to narrow down, and honestly, there are some really great places that didn't make it into the book," Hindman said. "But in the book as a whole, there are places to find great food and drink, there are places to go for a hike or kayak. You can go catch a race at Park Jefferson Speedway."

"100 Things to do in Sioux City and Siouxland Before You Die" hit shelves this week.

You can find the book at local book shops including Book People, Barnes and Noble and Sioux City Gifts. There is also a copy at the Sioux City Public Library. You can also visit her website to order the book online.
