A founding father helped a third grade class at Woodbury Central better manage their money
One of America's Founding Fathers paid a visit to a Siouxland elementary school this afternoon.
Benjamin Franklin stopped by a third grade class at Woodbury Central today to pass along tips on how to manage their money.
His visit was part of "Money Smart Week" sponsored by Sioux Valley Community Credit Union and the Iowa Credit Union Foundation
John Parks a CEO at Sioux Valley Community Credit Union, or Benjamin Franklin himself told us that "We really want them to learn how to be good stewards of their finances as they get older. You can never start too early. I think the book is a good step for them at applying that to real life"
Each student in the class received a book called "One Hen: How One Small Loan Made a Big Difference" thanks to the Iowa Credit Union Foundation.
