SIOUX CITY, Ia — It was rumor brought up at last night's board of supervisors meeting.
Now, Siouxland News has confirmed that Bomgaars is pulling out of funding the proposed Ag Expo facility in Sioux City's old Stockyards after a redesign of the facility earlier this year.
Bomgaars planned to donate $650,000 dollars for naming rights to the facility, which was initially designed for equestrian events.
But that purpose has been removed in a downsizing of the center.
The new design shaves $5 million dollars off the cost.
But it's also led the family of Howard Logan to rescind its pledge of $95,000 dollars towards the project.
The City says it's working on several options for a new name.
