The new owners, Iowa Food Group, hopes to be operating by January, and will be a protein processing company producing beef, pork and poultry meats.
Anderson says that the new company will employ about 100 workers at first, then add more employees as needed.
There will an official public announcement and a chance to meet the new owners on Thursday night at 5:00 PM at the Cherokee Golf and Country Club.
The Cherokee Area Economic Development Corporation will also host a chamber coffee event Friday at the Iowa Food Group site on S. Lake St. in Cherokee.
