Construction Truck Catches Fire

NEAR LAWTON, IA — A scary scene early Friday afternoon on a Woodbury County highway.

This video sent into us by Allyson Wilton Alby was taken west of Lawton on Highway 20 just after noon Friday.

Fire crews are attempting to put out a construction truck that was carrying tools and caught on fire near a bridge.

The Lawton Fire Department was there and the fire was put out.

Investigators believe the fire started in a generator on board the truck.

The truck is a total loss.

The driver of the truck was able to escape without injury.
