Developing this morning, evacuations have been issued for parts of Rock Valley, Iowa as flood waters continue to rise.

Rock Valley Mayor Kevin Van Otterloo has issued a State of Emergency due to the rising flood waters.

Mandatory evacuations have been issued for over a dozen square blocks.

The city is asking for volunteers to establish berms and fill sandbags.

Churches have been designated within the city as emergency housing shelters for evacuees.
