Hardline Coffee Co. brings unique coffee options to Siouxland

"We really focus on not only sustainable business but we also focus on having vegetarian and vegan options for our community. All of our syrups are homemade in house and they are gluten free and vegan," said owner Nisa Salmen.

Coffee drinkers will have another place to occupy in the downtown area.

Hardline Coffee Company is located in the heart of downtown on 5th Street.

The company has been open a little over a month but will have their grand opening this weekend.

With a roastery on site, the shop has been roasting their own beans and serving them in house.

"We really focus on not only sustainable business but we also focus on having vegetarian and vegan options for our community. All of our syrups are homemade in house and they are gluten free and vegan," said owner Nisa Salmen.

And it's not a place just for coffee drinkers, but for local art lovers as well. Hardline has artwork throughout their store and will play host to several events throughout the year.

"We're really looking forward to try and showcasing what Sioux City has in the local art scene. So, we're going to be hosting events here in the store actually, coffee classes, all kinds of different things like poetry slams, anything you can think of," said Salmen.

Hardline's grand opening party will be Saturday, January 12th starting at noon and wrapping up around 4:00 p.m.

The event will boast live music from local artists.
