Historic O'Connor House open for holiday tours this weekend
If you want to take a step back in time to see how Christmas used to be celebrated in rural Nebraska, you're in luck.
The Dakota County Historical Society is hosting a Christmas open house at the Historic O'Conner House east of Homer for the 33rd consecutive year.
Saturday and Sunday will be the final days for this year's open house, which features cookies and cider cooked on a wood-burning stove and lets visitors experience the holidays as they were celebrated in the late 1800s and early 1900s.
The house will be open from 1:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. Saturday and Sunday.
