Historic Peirce Mansion holds a holiday open house
A historic residence in Sioux City was transformed into a holiday wonderland.
The public was invited inside Sunday.
The Historic Peirce Mansion, on Jackson Street, held its holiday open house, with hundreds of people coming through the doors.
"The turnout has been fantastic," said Connie Macfarland, Peirce Mansion volunteer. "I think we are pretty close to 400 people already, so it's a great following by the public. The community just loves it, they love to come to the mansion, a historical home and see it all dressed up for Christmas."
Built in 1893, The Peirce Mansion was once home to the Sioux City Public Museum before it moved to its current home in 2011.
