House candidate Hanson visits the Jackson Recovery Center
Sioux City, IA — A Republican candidate who is challenging Steve King in Iowa's 4th Congressional District toured the Jackson Recovery Center on Monday.
Doctor Cyndi Hanson, the executive director of the College Center in South Sioux City, says her visit focuses on creating a better understanding of the opioid crisis in our community and how the Jackson Recovery Center can help prevent this crisis from growing.
"It's an issue that's important to every Iowan and as a native Iowan, it's something that I'm very interested in and knowing how to respond to and I can incorporate that in my conversation as I'm out throughout the district," Doctor Hanson told us.
Hanson, who was raised on a farm in Monona County, is challenging against Congressman King in June's Republican primary.
