SIOUX CITY, Iowa — The Iowa State Patrol is stepping up its presence along Siouxland roads this holiday weekend keeping an eye out for impaired drivers.
It's part of a special traffic enforcement program where the state patrol partners with local police and county sheriff's offices throughout the state to increase patrols with the goal of making sure all drivers safely arrive at their destinations this weekend.
This is one of several special traffic enforcement projects the state patrol holds each year usually around major holiday weekends.
