DES MOINES, Iowa -- Two former employees of the Iowa Finance Authority whose sexual harassment claims led to the firing of that agency's director last year have reached a settlement with the state.
Iowa will pay a combined $4 million to former IFA business development director Beth Mahaffey and its current communications director Ashley Jared.
Mahaffey will get $2.35 million while Jared will get $1.8 million.
Both complained about the behavior of former IFA head Dave Jamison last year and he was eventually fired by Governor Kim Reynolds.
